Bluebird Spa City Motor Lodge

I recently stayed at Bluebird Spa City Motor Lodge; I selected it for many reasons, namely its relative affordability compared to other in-city lodging options, its cozy-looking vibes, and for the fact that it is SMACK DAB in the middle of the city. Upon arrival at 8 p.m. that night, we checked in easily. The room we got - one of the ADA rooms on the first floor - was just what we were looking for: large cozy bed, large TV with ample streaming options, and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. As we really were staying there only to relax and sleep, other hotel necessities certainly weren't necessary - we survived without room service, an indoor swimming pool, and a mini bar, haaa. With that being said, we appreciated the free coffee, tea, and water in the open atrium area! Pros: - A bed that was so incredibly comfortable; I haven't slept so well in a long time, wow! - The large mounted TV came with cable, Hulu, Disney+, et al. It was great to unwind with some of our favorite shows after a long day out. - Super quiet! I saw some other reviews discussing noise from the atrium, but we heard virtually nothing. - Regarding ADA bathroom features, there were plenty of grab bars throughout, a walk-in / roll-in shower that didn't leak into the main bathroom floor (Yay! I've been to many other hotels where the roll-in shower leaks / floods the rest of the bathroom floor), and a comfortable shower seat. (Subjective) Cons: - Regarding ADA features in the bathroom, they were ample as noted above. However, there is only one large light in the bathroom and the shower area itself was slightly dark; an overhead light in that area would have made things a bit easier to shower in the evening for my handicapped partner - something for consideration! - There were only windows in the bathroom + one long frosted window by our door that "looks" into the atrium. It made the room a little TOO dark during morning hours when I would have appreciated a little sunlight...but also made for better sleeping with a darker room, I suppose. Ha! I appreciate the simplicity and comfort of this place. I would absolutely return!

This is a really cute place that could not be more centralized in terms of location. Very small parking lot, but a free parking garage for OCD vehicle owners like myself just behind the hotel. The staff was over the top nice, everyone from the front desk employees to the cleaning staff. Room was very clean and warm. Huge bathroom with nice hot water. Water pressure won't blow salt off the side of your car in the winter, but it will get the job done. Bed was cozy, mini fridge, and TV were great. The only reason for a 4/5 on the room was that we were on the first floor right near the couches in the lobby. The lobby is awesome with the coffee, water and skylights, but to open our door and be able to high five strangers on the couch was a bit different. When we come back, which we will, we will request a room either on the end the hotel or second floor. That's just an "us" problem, not necessarily the hotel. The sign announcing quiet hours in the lobby area was very much appreciated, as sound does travel quite well in the hotel. Overall, we loved it, and we will be back.

Wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were able to check in early, and we even received a room upgrade — a very appreciated touch. Highly recommend Bluebird Spa City Motor Lodge!

A decent no frills hotel in a convenient downtown location. Room was small and very basic, like a college dorm room. Clean enough. No windows in the room we chose. Onsite parking and additional free public parking nearby. Dog friendly, and a decent free coffee bar in the lobby. The price was appropriate for what we got. I would recommend this hotel for people who dont need anything fancy.

We had a fantastic stay at Bluebird Spa City Motor Lodge. We booked a King Balcony room, which was perfect since we were traveling with our pup—having our own entrance made coming and going incredibly easy. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with travelers in mind. Every detail felt thoughtful: dimmable lighting, easily accessible outlets, and a generously sized shower and bathroom. The location can’t be beat—you’re literally in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs. The common spaces were so well done and fun to explore, especially for late-night hangs with the pup after my partner went to sleep. The entire reinvention of the motor lodge strikes a perfect balance of nostalgic charm and modern inspiration. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Chic retro hipster remodel of an old motor lodge. Nicely done. Perfect place to stay for 25-40 year olds with no kids. Right in the middle of downtown, so easy walkability to many shops and restaurants after you leave your car in the lot. Beds super comfortable. Friendly staff. Interior atrium makes for an expanded lobby. Big TV. So why not 5 stars? Simply because I'm parsimonious, and cautions that (1) the rooms are not palatial-- plenty big enough if you've traveled in Europe, but could be a challenge for families with kids, or anyone with mobility issues; (2) again, if traveling with kids, they might prefer a place with an actual pool, (3) if you have any mobility needs, just ask to be on the first floor as while there's a lift to the second floor it might not be totally convenient, (4) while our room had a mini-fridge, there's no microwave, if that's important to you. That said, for a convenient, affordable place to lay your head, this is a great choice.

The rooms are nice with modern furniture. The staff are very friendly and will help when you need it. Wish I could give them stars for this hotel. When I stayed with my service animals they were very welcoming and even upgraded my room with no charge. I will definitely stay there again if I need to.

Such an amazing place. Not only is it centrally located, when we arrived they treated us to an upgraded room & we got to check in early! Yay! They are so good at communicating. The woman who cleaned our room was so sweet as well. All over great place!
